Default For those with painted calipers

Probably a dumb question, but when you are painting the front calipers do you paint the metal clip that goes along the side of the caliper of do you take it off before painting. I think it would look nice not painting the clip but I also know how much of a b*tch it is to put back on and may end up scratching the newly painted caliper. I know I probably put too much thought into this process but oh well, just curious.

Default The epoxy paint should hold up pretty well to scratches...

Make sure to clean/buff the surface to be painted VERY WELL... I used abrasive polishing pads on a air gun to polish the metal to a smooth surface, and because of that the rear calipers came out perfect. For the metal retaining clip I'd also polish it to get any dirt off, then clearcoat it so that it retains it's shine.
