#21
hmmm....so you havent had any problems eh?
i might get one for work and what not and start feeling it out in va. mine would be hardwired, out of reach, sort of, and really hard to see. where do you mount yours?

I've had mine for years. Definitely use it
This state totally sucks when it comes to speed laws. 20 over is automatic reckless which means a criminal record.
That to me is enough to run the risk of having a radar detector. I've gotten at least five tickets in Virginia and have taken down the radar detector each time. I have gotten good at taking it down and throwing it under the seat. Just practice that a few times, keep the V1 somewhat hidden, and drive safe.
The one nice thing is that most of the time, the cops park and leave their radars turned on, so you can pick them up from a couple or few miles away, in plenty of time to slow down and not risk getting stopped.
I have two reckless driving tickets in VA. One got dismissed and reduced to improper driving (no criminal record). The other one is pending. I got those two because I did not have the V1 up. For the amount of money I am paying in having a lawyer fight this, plus court costs, plus fines, they can take their "no radar detector" law and stick it up their collective law-enforcing butts.
