Default Turbo Issues?

XPost a bit long bTW.
I need advice/recommendation on this one :-(
Adam how long did it take for you to replace your turbos?
I for got to include that I checked underneath the car but did not see oil splattered. The car is without a doubt leaking oil from the bottom.

TIA

Adam removed the engine to replace the turbos. It took a few (3?) weeks.

Default It took me way too long. :P It was about a month from start-to-finish, but I think it could have

been done a lot more quickly if I had all the parts I needed and a lot more know-how. Plus, we had Christmas and New Years in the middle there somewhere. We took the engine out in a day and got the old turbos off the following day...but then decided to do the clutch and had to wait a few days to have the flywheel resurfaced and the new clutch to arrive. I had to redo a lot of things along the way and find replacement hardware (especially crush washers for the turbo oil lines) which threw me off a couple days.

I think it could be done relatively quickly if you have all the parts ready. But there's always something to screw it up and delay the schedule.

It was a great learning experience, though for general peace-of-mind, you might consider taking it to the professionals.

Roger is superb but then again 1.8T vs 2.7T it's like the chewing gum commercial double the headache
