Default Yep, most likely a 1-2 bed condo or maybe a small rowhouse.

Nothing too pricey. Garage parking would be a big plus, but I understand that adds a premium to the price. I may have to be willing to give that up for the conveniences of living in the city.

Thanks, Rosslyn wouldn't be too bad either. Clarendon/Ballston as well, but those seem more pricey?

Default where's that map of dc crime?

anyways, north and west = good, south and east = bad. And stay away from anywhere with "Heights" in the title.

Default welcome to my world >>

I live in North Dupont/South Kalorama and I never have to park more than a block away from our place. I love the area because its a close walk to the Metro. You should consider living near the line that goes where your new job is. ie, if on the Orange line, consider Foggy Bottom. Let me know if you need any advice in town-- we've been here four years and have lived in Chinatown and now Dupont...

Default I've only been looking online, haven't initiated the actual search.

Those are all places I've picked up as being the right places to look in to, so that's good to know I've been on the right track.

They are all definitely on the pricey side of course. I did find some nice rowhouses in capitol hill that seem priced fair, but a little bit further from the action.

How about Columbia Heights?

Default Thank you, I'm on the right track it sounds.

I really would love to have a place for my car, it's not worth much these days, but it's in great shape...I'd hate to see it get all dinged up. Although it might take some searching to find me a place that offers parking in my price range.

Sounds like all the places I go out to the bars at are the places to live as well, that's good!

Default I will work in Crystal City.

I was hoping to find something in Chinatown, to grab the yellow line there, but I've found some other new or redone condos throughout the city, near Logan Circle and Adams Morgan that actually seemed priced better.

If I make this move I definitely want to find the right place. Walking distance to the metro and shopping, dining, bars is a huge plus. I figure if I'm going to try the urban life, I need to do it right.

I will be in touch, we still need to do that TT drive!

Default do yourself a favor and live in crystal city too, that whole place is like a large terrarium

you can live, shop, eat, work, etc. your whole life without ever having to drive or even possibly go outside.
