part of the line charge, not a fee afterwards.
I'm a Sales Manager at Cavalier Telephone on the business side and we show Federal Subscriber Line Charge on the contract, up front.
Carriers that show it as a fee are only doing so to make it look like they have cheap line service.

But seriously.
Call them up and threaten to cancel. They can give some back to you as a credit. They are averaging taxes and fees across all of their customers, and you're paying a ridiculous percentage.

They're supposed to charge me .10 each time I call out, but they stopped after several months. I guess my old plan got phased out.
