Default Where can I park my trailer/truck near the King St. Metro during the day?

I'm heading down to VIR on Thursday after work. I'd prefer to leave right from work. Any ideas on where I can park from 7:00am until 5:00pm? The trailer is 24ft long, so street parking or a commerical pay parking lot will not work.

Eric Wong, Andrew Lee, Island Boy? You guys work (or used to work) in this area. Tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jim

Default I live about 2.5 - 3 miles from the King St Metro...though probably closer to Huntington. $6 or $7

cab ride. There is street parking for trailers not too far from my place.

Default Are they still doing construction over there by Grant Thornton?

They were building a new building next to Grant Thornton, sort of caddy corner to the Jimmy John's sub place. I bet you could park there on the street if they are still doing construction. Other than that, the only other place I can think of would be behind the shopping center where Noodles & Company is, or where Giant and Panera are.

Default You might be able to get away with parking near the Holiday Inn on Eisenhower Ave

it's one stop down from King St. and there's a HUGE parking lot there. Might be filled with commuters during the day...I don't know for sure, though.

Default I've never parked for a full day before.

Eric's parked at the movie theatre and left a movie ticket stub on the dash and parked several hours since the lot is for retail customers.

Default You can park around the corner from Braddock Rd. Metro, plenty of on street parking there...

In front of the the Meridian at Braddock Rd. and the side streets there. One block from the Metro.<ul><li><a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&amp;q=N+Payne+St+%4038.816820,+-77.051190&amp;um=1&amp;sa=N&amp;tab=wl">North Payne St. next to Braddock Rd. Metro</a></li></ul>

Default Thanks for the ideas. None are guaranteed winners, but I like the Holiday Inn or Giant parking lots.

I'll check them out tomorrow, and see which has the most promise.

Default Ryan, I'd like to park where I'm truly authorized, so I'd like to take you up on your offer.

Let me know if it is possible. It's a 24ft enclosed trailer, towed by a crew cab pickup. Thanks.
