1. McDonalds serves drinks in Liter sizes rather than Ounces
2. Burger King tastes better than McDonalds
3. Mayo on fries (Pommes) is normal
4. You pay extra for mayo or for ketchup, about 30 cents
5. There is beer available for breakfast
6. You eat sandwiches for breakfast (especially Nutella on bread)
7. Many men look gay due to their tight pants and not having a problem touching other men
8. There is an hour of commercials and previews before a movie starts in the movie theater. And these consist of ads for cars, or a topless girl being refreshed by water from a hydrant (deodorant "fa" commercial), cigarette commercials, and of starving children in Africa.
9. There is assigned seating in the movie theater
10. Saying "Wie geht's?" (how are you?) will certainly not be responded to with a short phrase such as gut (fine or good) but rather by a long explanation of everything on that person's mind.
11. Jeans are mostly worn when at work, and cost much more money to buy in the stores ( most workers wear the same uniform of blue overalls).
12. Everyone wears shoes that look like bowling shoes
13. The grass is about a foot tall
14. Men in orange jump suits walk down your street at 8am cleaning sidewalks with brooms
15. Streets and sidewalks are all stone bricks
16. Everywhere you go or look you see graffiti
17. Statues have metal spikes at the top. (to keep away pigeons)
18. Hard bread rolls are served at every meal
19. Water comes only with carbonated bubbles
20. The computer keyboard has umlauts and the "y" and "z" are switched.
21. Number 1 looks like a 7 when written down
22. It costs as much money to buy a coke than to buy a beer
23. Alcohol-free beer is available at any restaurant/brewery/bar that beer is served at
24. Beer actually tastes good
25. If you drive 4 hours almost in every direction, you will be in a new country which speaks a completely different language and has a new culture.

27. Many Germans think that Americans see them all as *****
28. Germans call Americans people who don't know European History and do not know other languages besides English
29. Everyone has learned English for 11+ years in school along with German of course and a 3rd language of choice (usually French or Latin) for 4+ years.

31. All your bed has on it is a pillow and a comforter (no sheets).

33. You can smoke almost anywhere (restaurants, trains, inside school, even in the classrooms).
34. There are cigarette ads on billboards and in the movie theaters (especially Marlboro)
35. Watching Wild West movies in black and white is popular
36. There are big weekend summer festivals with carnival rides, expensive food/drinks and flee market tents Heinerfest
37. A "Dome" is not an arched structure, but a big church
38. You can have mass in either a Dome, Chapel, Church, Temple or Synagogue.
39. The trains run 5 to 20 minutes late most of the time. (Swiss trains are always on time)
40. There is a cartoonish Ampelmännchen (pedestrian cross walk) only located in the former DDR (E. Germany)
41. There is a Döner shop within 5 minutes of walking distance
42. There are Autobahnen and ZĂĽge rather than Highways and Trains
43. Fruits and Veggies are not sprayed as much with pesticides or herbicides
44. Milk is served at room temperature
45. You have to return bottles and cans from where you bought them to get your pfand (deposit) back, usually 25 cents

Nutella is awesome, back in 9th grade I had to re-learn to write 1s and 7s because my American math teacher kept grading my exams as wrong and all lights should turn from red to orange to green, duh!
