After reading numerous posts, I've seen to stay away from Pilkington. I called a shop and they said they would do the windshield for 190 total using a Pilkington windshield. The place is "American Glass," I am in Cincinnati. He also gave an option of using "premium pilkinton" which is 80 bucks more but is glass made in Finland for Audi's there. How or why these differ (besides probably the 80 bucks it costs to ship them here) I do not know. The guy I spoke with said Pilkington and PPG are pretty much the same, both are the major name brand glass often used in OEM and replacement application(s). I asked about pitting issues, citing a few posts on here, and he said he had not had not ever had customer complaints about pitting. The windshild has been cracked for about 4 months now, but got much worse today while i was washing the car (most likely from me exerting pressure on the windshild while washing it) The shop manager said he would call other distributors tomorrow to try to find PPG glass and let me know what the costs are for it.

The first pic is the windshild, second is same pic but with lines drawn to show the progression. Blue lines are how it has been for the past 4 months, red lines are what cracked more today.

it has a LOT of distortion around the edges. It's pretty distracting when driving.
