Default Any words of wisdom about switching to ATE Super Blue brake fluid ??

I like the idea of switching between amber and blue colored fluid. It seems like it would make flushing brake fluid a little easier.

I've read that the A4 guys have a hard time getting all the blue out due to a split resevoir setup.

Anyway, any comments? Does your brake fluid tank get stained blue? Switching colors not going to help?

Blue and Amber Brake Fluid

What I do, is suction out as much of the old fluid out of the resivior as possable. Fill with new, and begin the bleed process from the farthest caliper away from the master. Bleed each
until steady flow of what ever color your using is apparent. Verify res level after each caliper, and fill as required. Once all are flowing steady blue or gold, you set!

Default I boiled it almost right away, and have heard of issues with clutch.

Seems farfetched to me, but I remember someone saying that it eats clutch cylinders. I have it in my car and have not had that problem. It is pretty good stuff, but boils easily on the track.

Default Huh?

If you were boiling ATE, I suspect you had something else going on. With a dry boiling point of 536, it shouldn't go easily.

Default Sounds to be a cooling issue with OEM brakes on a race track.

OEM brakes are designed for OEM conditions. IE-street driving. Those of us who race these cars know the OEM brakes reach their limit very quickly
under racing conditions. Often we push them to beyond their limits! Trying to get OEM equipment to peform under racing conditions, is not good head work.

Default I've seen 3 other people boil stock fluid on stock brakes.

TT, S4, and A4.
Ate superblue is a slight upgrade, but not huge compared to some other fluids.
