I recently replaced my Cat Converter on my 93 90CS. Apparently Audi will not validate a recall for it, however it is known as a "open campaign" for Automatic models only. This means if you complain about it enough, they'll take their good old time to fix it free. However, this is only for Automatic Transmission models so I got screwed and had to pay the $650 for a new one. Oh and they'll make you buy both Cats (driver's and passenger's side together!) Luckily I found a private company that sells them seperately and saved almost 50%. Why can't audi offer the open campaign for Manual Transmission models as well??? Just being cheap I guess. Anyone have any ideas about that???
