Default Help!!! Audi100 Auto Transmission Problem! :(

Hello audi fans,
I have audi 100 '89 (front WD) with 118k miles on it and i had the following problem last night related to my Auto Transmission.
I drove the car for 70 miles in the rain and it was runnig OK. The transmission was shifting normally at the right RPMs and etc. I went to a party, the car was parked outside for 5-6 hours. When i decided to go home i noticed that the car wasn't shifting between gears in the right way, like it used to do it. 1st and 2nd were OK, but it kind of didn't want to go to 3rd gear just stayed on 2nd keepinf at 3000+ RPM in the city. I had to release the gas pedal a little(or completelly), so it could go to 3rd. Otherwise, i was going to 4500+ RPM and it still wasn't moving to 3rd. On the highway with very careful manipulating of the trotle i somehow got it to 3rd and it was going fine with 65mph but if i pushed the gas even a little bit more than "gently" it went right away to 2nd gear (=high RPM and engine noise) . I drove like that for 3-4 miles but at the end it kind of got more stable on 3rd and i could keep with 70+mph and push it more freely - still the car felt different. Until last night my car has never done this, even when it was COLD.
This morning, i checked the fluid level, it was above the marks , clean fluid with only 15k miles on it... the level has been like that for months (no major leaks on my car)
I drove it, the problem was there for the first 5-10 minutes, even on the freeway (at 63mph it suddenly went from 3rd to 2nd with no reason i didn't push it hard at all)
Later,(after ~4 miles city/HW driving) everything went to normal, i was going with 85 mph, braking to 45 and acceerating to 80 again and the car was fine. It didn't even go to 2nd. Fine in city driving too.
Please help, tell me what is going on??? What should i do???
Also, there are NO weird noises comming from the AT so far.
Help, please!

Thank you!

Default Sounds like the throttle position / downshift linkage, from the throotle linkage to the tranny is...

loose. Right on top of the engine, there is a linkage for the throttle. The accelerator pedal moves the linkage, which splits off to two places under the hood. One is the throttle body itself, and the other is to the transmission, thru a tubular shapped tube/bar.
