Hello again to everyone, thank you for your help but I have yet again another fun question about my 1990 Audi 100! =) One more time, my friend bought a new headunit and wants to give me his old nice Sony one. I was wondering can I just switch out the stock Bose Headunit and put in his Sony one, and still be able to use the stock speakers? I heard that I might have to get new speakers before I put in a new headunit, so is that true? Or could I just take it to like Best Buy or Circuit City, and give them the head unit and tell them or ask if they can install it without changing speakers? Because I saw in their car database, 1990 Audi 100 with bose system is on there, so I thought its a strong possibility. Anyway any information would be appreciated!! Thanks again!!

The rear speakers have amp's built into them, and they are common ground, unlike the Sony unit. I am almost sure of this, it is like the 200, you may want to check (search) the 5000-200-V8 Forum they have talked about this.
Several possible answers:
1) There is a "box" you can get ($70?? cruchfield) that will allow the rear speakers to work.
2) You can "re-wire" the rear speakers to work.
3) You can get new rear speakers.
4) Just use the front speakers.
4 is the cheapest
