Default Just put deposit on my Neiman Marcus Ltd. Ed. TT!

I just placed my $3,500 deposit on my Neiman Marcus Ltd. Edition TT (looks like #45 or 46 out of 100). The price is "only" $35,000 and that includes paint and interior colors excusive to the NM model (pearlized Numbus grey with Moccassin Red Napa leather interior), heated seats, Xenon headlights, upgradede Bose stereo with 6 cd changer, driver information display with pictogram, upgraded 17" wheels and tires. Even a TT car cover and 25,000 NM bonus points!
Scheduled delivery is March or April. I've already reserved my license plate, "TNT TT". I can't wait!!

Default Really?

Congrats Brad!
I was told by my dealer that those cars sold out the first couple of days they were "on the block." That was several months ago. How did you do it?

Default Re: Really?

I called and got my name on the waiting list the day that the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog arrived. At that point, all 100 were already sold out. Last week, I got a call from Audi North America. Apparently, about 20 out of the 100 fell through. Mostly for failing to make the deposit. Anyway, they gave me 1 day to make a decision and 72 hours to deposit $3,500 at the Audi dealer of my choice. I didn't expect to be given the opportunity to by one, but I am happy that things worked out.

Neiman Marcus Limited Edition TT

Default You must have been way down the list....

I was #168 on the list and they called me for a deposit 3 weeks ago. You must have been in the 200s! I'm surprised so many people are falling out of the list.
I sold my spot on the list and am waiting for a 225 hp TT w/quattro.
JohnS
It seems like a lot of folks on the waiting list did fall through, which surprises me. If you don't mind me asking, how much were you able to get for your spot?
I wouldn't be surprised if the list had a lot of speculators on it that were expecting to cash in big by selling their spots for big bucks but couldn't find buyers and gave up.
Or decided, like JohnS to wait for the 225HP/Quattro version (I'd wait as well even though it would pain me to have to wait another year - especially when you start seeing them on the road).

I'd rather not say here, but it made the transaction worth my time.
JohnS
Default Are you going to swap over your coil-overs again?

Sorry, but if you're going to post links to it, I'm going to respond to it. ;-)
