I noticed a little coolant leakage and had it checked out by my usual shoppe. They told me it was my secondary water pump...<p>OKay, is it fine to continue driving with it leaking until they get the part (4 days)???<p>And, How much should the part and labour cost???<p><br>Thanks<br>Jason C<br>'93 S4

I think I paid about $180 for the part, not sure why that silly little pump should cost that much. Putting it on is easy, it's right there on top.

what does the secondary water pump do anyway???<p>I just took her on a 400 mile round trip last weekend. The temp was perfect, even after doing 130 a couple of times...

I don't get over here very often. What that pump does is circulate coolent though the turbo after the engine has been turned off, during driving it does nothing.
