Driving home at night on a two lane road when out of no where something (a rock?) flies out from a nearby house and smack (and crack) hits the windshield just above the rear view mirror a little to the right with a crack about 1.5 inches in diameter.
I think this classifies as either really bad luck or car rape!! grr...
Good thing it didn't do anymore damage than it did... can't feel it inside.
How much does a windshield cost?

And thats was with or without the built-in antenna. I didnt need it as they went to an electric power antenna in '94 but the original one had it tho it wasn't connected to anything. The new glass is PPG instead of the Audi German glass but has the black-out surround and the tint at the top. Sure beat $880 for the Audi glass PLUS installation.

but I checked out the site Born Again Audi said, and I think that I can just fix the window instead of replacing the whole window. I am not sure about the part where the actual window has cracked, but the 'impact crater' seems fixable. Thanks! I'll keep you guys updated on the situation.
