Default Are you on stock rotors?

I annihilated 2 sets of stock rotors... each saw only one day of a track event.. then I got my StopTechs and they have been rock solid since.

I first ran them with the MIntex Axxis Ultimate super-street pads at an event -- no fade. Then more recently I had Porterfiel R4S pads on there, and again they were pretty damn solid! :-)

Anyway, YMMV, of course... but I'm pretty hard on my brakes..

take off the dust shields. They block all the cooling.

What are the disadvantages of removeing the dust shields? Must be there for a good reason?
