Any tricks to compress pistons on the Porsche Big Red (ECS Stg 3) Brembo calipers?

I had the Brembo 8-piston calipers when I had an RS6, and I had no problem just using my hands to squeeze the pads to compress the pistons to make some room to wiggle them out. With these Big Reds, I can't even budge the pistons by squeezing the pads! Is there a trick that I am missing? I can't believe I'm stumped.
I'm glad I didn't wait until Monday morning at the track to find out that I'm an idiot! (Prior experiences with myself taught me to do dry runs for stuff like this.) I want to swap out the Hawk HPS pads with Hawk HT-10's for the track.
I have a caliper tool that compresses the pistons AFTER the pads are out in order to put new pads in, but I'm in a quandry if I can't even get the first set of pads out.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
(O.W. Kenobi, I also sent you an email since I know you used to swap pads regularly when you had this kit.)

works beautifully on my 4-piston 986 calipers. Just take them off, with the pads in place and insert in the middle. Tighten and pistons will retract. remove old pads, insert new ones, reinstall and voila...

But given the forecast for rain, maybe I can make do with street pads. NHIS isn't particularly tough on brakes except at Turn 3 when running the South Oval configuration, but I believe NAAC will be running the South Chicane, no? I've done NHIS with stock pads twice in the MINI (both times South Oval) and they were no worse for the wear, although the MINI weighs in at just 2500 pounds.
