Argh... Does anyone know how to get the lining/padding out of an Arai GP5?

I'm trying to installthe HANS anchors in my new(er) helmet and I'm having a hell of a time getting the padding near the pre-drilled holes to bugde. I need to fit the beacking peice between the helmet shell and the padding, but for the life of me I cant figure out how to do it. It doesn't want to budge.

I had to put the "nut" on the wrench and shove it in there. Don't remember it being all that tough...unless you aren't using that wrench HANS sends you.

I know it's tough to get in there, but get a small flat-bladed screwdriver and dislodge the padding from the shell. If you go forward or back of the exact spot you're trying to peel back you should find a gap in the glule or a separation in the padding, that's usually a good place to start.

I got an extra set of anchors sent to me by HANS when I emailed them about my accident. They sent me the extra anchors and some new teathers.
I didn't do the original install on my old GP5, but this one has the holes predrilled so I thought it would be simple.
I got one side installed but it was a huge pain in the ***.

I'll just deal with it using the tools that I used to get one side installed. It was a huge pain in the ***, but I need it for this weekend and didn't expect it to be this tough.
