Default SUVs banned due to rollover hazard

They've always been banned from track events in the Northeast Region, and that's why they're being banned by National.

SUVs are still welcome at the winter schools the NE chapter runs.

Default structural roll bars should be required equipment for all convertibles IMO

but an outright ban is unfair.

the SUV restriction is understandable, the only notable exception (imo) being cayennes, but i dont see a model based restriction being percieved as fair.

Default ran wide and put 2 off, fought it back on and it was game over after that...

front end got traction and snapped the rear around, passenger rear impacted the tires, absorbed and pulled the passenger side it. the car looked like it was going to roll over the wall but ended up getting pitched back onto the track and flipped onto its roof in the process. of course this was all at track out...

Default I've seen too many accidents caused by people who try too hard to save it...

sad, really.

2 cars totalled at Watkins Glen as a result, just this year.

Default time to ban Avants then...especially A6 Avants

Why not ban all 200 wagons...? Just restrict the Cayenne's, allroads, and the like to A and B groups.

Default Guy in a 328i rolled in T10/11 at WG2 this summer and walked away.

I think he actually did an endo when the car hit the tire barrier at the beginning/outside of T11. I'm pretty sure the car was totalled. Another case of getting two off and trying like hell to save it...then DOH!
