Default Audi HPDE at MSR in Nov.

For those in the area or if you are looking to try a new track out, the rag-tagged group of Texas Audi track enthusiast are planning a DE at Motorsports Ranch (MSR) in Cresson, TX (SW of Fort Worth) on Nov. 15th. It's going to be nothing but Audi/VWs and it's an excellent track and facility to play at. Check out the site and drop an e-mail to the organizers if you'd be interested. We don't have a great following here in Texas, but we have to start somewhere, come visit us if you can. If you have any questions feel free to post them. TIA:-)...

http://www.bufkinengineering.com/2004statemeet.htm</a

Default Anybody??? Maybe we have rounded up every Audi track enthusiast anywhere near Texas already...

Well, MSR is a very technical track, so if you are bored of the more frequented road courses you might have driven, MSR will get you brain going a bit, it's very deceptively intriguing. With the elevation changes, blind exits, and off camber (mind you run off as far as you need), it takes some skill to be fast esp in an Audi. The video at the site (from my MaD wAgOn on street tires running in the advanced group) is running CCW, but we will be running CW in Nov, much more fun and challenging, but if you ask me seems smoother and more flowing. So, if your looking for a road trip in Nov. come out and visit us at MSR...

Default What's the status?

I heard we might not have enough to keep the event? Audi track-heads are hard enough to find down here, but the event being on a Monday is a killer. You should find me somewhere near the top of the list, though. ;-)

Default Unless we can find 9 more Audis/drivers soon, the status is not good. Audis in Tx just ain't game.

You'd figure in the main big cities in Tx we would be able to get 40 cars together, even on a Monday. I guess most owners will never realize the true potential of their Audis. They maybe pigs, but when driven well, they can fly. Hopefully, most of the Audi guys will sign up for the normal Drivers Edge HPDE on Nov 13-14, I know I will...
