there is something about being part of the "big show"...

even if you aren't a big part. It's an experience that most people will never have...go for it, just to enjoy being "part" of the weekend.

I'm debating doing a support club race w/Grand Am at VIR myself.

I saw go for it. How often will we get to race in front of a crowd and at least have the illusion that we're rubbing elbows with the big boys. I have the same concerns though, higher entry fees with less track time. Think about this too, if an alms/WC practice session gets fowled up, they'll make up the time from the spec miata group.
