Hey Warren
I know a guy in here in Austin who'll do a turnkey S50 swap into an E30 M3 for ~$6K. He's done a bunch of them.
I'm still looking for an E30 M3, but I have it narrowed down to two.

Used S14s are around $3K.
They may need some timing chain/tensioner/valve adjustments, but if the engine is out thats easy.
Rebuilt 2.5L strokers can be found for $6K and a complete S50 (3.0L 95 M3 engine) swap is around ~$6K.
