I must say, I was not *that* impressed by the speedvision touring car drivers...

Not to say the race wasn't exciting...Maybe it's the fact that not many of them had driven PIR? Some of them had some really terrible lines. One person that did impress me was Roger Foo. He worked his way up from 22nd place to 12th place at the end of the race, pretty damn impressive. All in all it was a pretty enjoyable race, mainly because of the mistakes the drivers made for some interesting passing situations. My condolonces go out to Paul Lambert for getting punted off the track at start then blowing his engine later on in the race, sorry man that sucks

the HORRIBLE driving in that series...your car has about a 50% chance of total destruction in any given race...it's not worth $60k a year just for the ride PLUS all the travel etc...for a series which to start with has "factory" teams vs. privateers and rediculously mismatched cars.
Roger is a great guy and works his *** off and doesn't have much money. He is trying to build a NEW car but has had problems all year so is still running the Civic we nearly bought from him hehehehe.

Those RWD bmws are just too fast, it's ridiculous how bad they destory the competition. And yes the privateer race teams seem to just have a huge advantage...

...but the "racing" is competitive as hell usually. The GT class drivers seem to have a little better head on their shoulders, except for those Corvette jackholes that don't understand that when a quattro S4 is being driven by Derek Bell slightly in front of and to the inside of their Vette, he is going to drive the proper line for his car, which means late apexing, so if they're in that spot they can't just go ahead and turn into the back of his S4 when they feel like they're ready to turn in for the corner.

Here's what caused the damage:

Here's Paul making a nice pass on the Integra in the Festival turns. I'm pretty sure this was after the bump.
