There were several brand new WRX sedans and wagons at the Golden Gate Fields autox today in Albany CA. Two black wagons...one pale yellow sedan...one blue sedan...and a few others that I can't remember what color they were. Saw some of them run...times in the 56-64 second range. In contrast...Corey S had a top time of 49.1 seconds...Sharon had a raw time of 50.3 (plus one cone)...ReyHey was at 52.5 (I think)...I was in Audiboy's 96 A4 with a 53.4 (both Audiboy and I ran 53.0 raw times...with one cone each). Audiboy's clean run was a 53.79...with Sean T in the low 54 second range. Audiboy's Jenny ran in the mid 57 - 58 range...if I remember correctly. I didn't catch the TT Coupes and Roadster times...they were in another group. The A-Stock S4s also ran...two of them...but I was changing tires when they ran...so I missed that.
Anyway...the guys with WRXs at the autox...did not have them dialed in...or maybe they weren't broken in yet....probably both.

The Subie crowd in general isn't too technically accurate. They go more on heresay, rather than research and numbers from testing. It's tough to get valid, technical feedback on the WRX at this early point in the game.
Not too interesting, but the blaze yellow guy posted here:<ul><li><a href="http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Forum4/HTML/002144.html">i-club</a></li></ul>

I swear seeing a clean run recorded after my last session on the scoreboard (53.792). In fact I was looking at my scoobie competition while looking at mine when he finally beat me.
After our workgroup, Jenny pointed out to me that I hit a cone on my last session. When I checked the trailer again, I saw 55 +1 with a 5 overwriting a 3! Armed with my post-it's that do not show a +1, I looked for the officials but the time cards and people in the trailer already gone
I never heard a twaap!
Next time, I will mount a camera facing backwards. Anyway, that was not my best AutoX as I was coming too hot on the back tight turns. Will do better next time. Thanks for the S4 rear sway bar Steve. The rear tire had no traction problems but slightly back to the understeer condition. Looks like I'll be going with your recomendation of putting back the Neuspeed 19mm with a Neuspeed 29mm front.

I think that ReyHey and Sharon agreed that ReyHey was .1 or .2 faster that Sharon's best, when counting the 1 cone.
