Laguna Seca or Sears Point? Which is more fun?

I found Sears to be much more demanding and intimidating. There was always a slight feeling of impending doom when driving on that track because of the proximity of the walls. That limits the "fun" factor for me.
Laguna is easy to learn. I felt comfortable there halfway through the first day. I never felt as comfortable at Sears even after two days.
I would also agree Thunderhill is a better place if it's your first time. Virtually nothing to hit.

so, with your mods, that might add more of a fun factor without getting over your head too unexpectedly. Watch T9 8-)

The question is what type of driving do you like to do. Laguna is high speed track which provides for great wear and tear on the brakes.
Sears Point is extremely technical. If you miss the apex of 1 turn it hurts you typically for 3 or more turns. The track is beautiful now. Great surface and great speeds. There are 3 hard braking zones from lower speeds than Laguna. Weather can be in question at either track.
I love Sears. It is more rewarding for me because of the technical side.

since I live on the East Coast....
They both were a blast, but I liked the experience of Sears better, for some unknown reason. Can't put a finger on it 100%. Felt I picked it up faster.
Also, it was fairly intimidating tearing down the straight at LS and cresting that rise after the bridge. Something about it being a pucker factor! Didn't have that same feeling at Sears, even with the walls or in the esses.
of course, YMMV.
