Default It definetly helps an understeering car such as the Quattro. I found out the hard way when I swung

the rear of my A4 on an AutoX 2 weekends ago. Caugh me by surprise and caused me a second or 2 to get back in line. Now if I can train my left leg to be gentle

I'll do it again this weekend cuz I am driving someone else's QTip. Should be fun - ala go kart

Default Well......

No offense to good drivers out there that don't. However, every race car driver and outstanding high performance driver I've met to date does it.
I love sitting as a passenger (whenever it's possible) and just getting the chance to watch some of these experts dance all over the pedals. Some are so fast it's amazing. Truly a skill developed through lots and lots of seat time.

Cathleen, maybe you can teach me your technique at Mid-O?

Certainly. :-) Hey, I was looking at some old pics from Waterford back in '96 with you in them. Not the ones you sent to me (which I greatly appreciated, by the way).
It's so funny to see my car back then, all stock. There some pics of it on track...leaning real hard, etc. Huge wheel gap, etc. Pretty funny to look back at that now.
A lot changes in four years, doesn't it? Time sure does fly by.

See you soon!

Default I prefer that too....

In the 4000q i can do Big toe and roll right, blip with little toes.
Better method because you use your heel on the floor to better modulate pressure.
I can't do that methos on the A4 because the gas is so far down that my foot slips off the brake. Ohhh not good. My foot is to narrow.
I also can't do Toe/Heel on the A4 because my foot would be trying to do some unnatural act of bending backwards.
I've tried heel on brake and blip with toe. It does work but you can't modulate the brake very well in a hard braking situation and I don't like that.
Not going to do that "shim in the throttle cable mod." to shorten the pedal arm and lift it up, either. Looked into that. Not a good idea based on what someone showed me about how that system works. As for "wireless" models.....don't know how that would work. Maybe not an issue.
-C. (still trying to get a method that will work well!)
