Default Yes. It's true they don't have the stick of an R-compound when hot, but I found them to be decent.

Of course, I am not as fast as some (many?), so I don't get 'em as hot as you might.

Default amazing even track wear that you cannot get from a typical street tire, imo. decent grip, not too

greasy when hot/pushed too hard, cheap, great bang for the buck, better in the rain than the RT215s.

unless you're racing, you don't *need* Rcompounds to pick up more speed/time. for DEs, it's the perfect tire, imo.

After this, I'm going with RA1s, fwiw, since I stopped using the Falkens as my summer setup.

Default I guess I'm ditching the Hankooks and going with the Falkens then.

While the Hankooks were a great tire for two seasons (at only $105 each), the tramlining was a bit extreme for daily driving. It could have been my -2.5* of camber up front, but the wheel doesn't get yanked around with my snow tires on the car. However they were very good in the rain, stood up to the ravaged Boston highway system with no sidewall bubbles, and were damn sticky when up to temp. Maybe the ride quality isn't up to par with some of the class leaders, but they're also half as expensive.

The two things I'm worried about with the Falkens is their wet weather performance, and these "greasy when hot" comments I've read.

Default Hankooks are a better track tire for me. I've brought both at the same track day. Falkens got

greasy, but the Hankooks get better with heat. And this was comparing 225 RS2's with 235 615's. The Falken is a better AutoX tire though.
