Default its that simple

yes, you have more control with a harness on. i have a harness in my auto-x car and i couldn't drive the car w/o it. but on the track the risk of going over. and i don't care what u drive, if u go over that roof is gonna drop at least a little. and with the helmet on, ur head is closer to the roof. personally, i've seen people go off w/o cages, go over and die on the spot. i've also seen people go off with cages, end up on there side(roof to traffic) and get hit right in the roof. that peoson was able to bring the car back next week(yes, it was a little bent, but basically straight) remember that ur going faster on the track so things are accelerated and magnified.

Default Thanks for the QCUSA view Jon...

I hope I didn't come off as critical of the driver schools you guys run - not my intention at all! On the contrary, the focus on safety at the events is even more diligent than I expected.

I've just arrived at the conundrum that you (and Steve!) point out -- "don't worry, it's not racing" and "better worry, a lot can happen on a race track."

Default "$400 for a street rollbar?"

Permanently installed, or bolt-in? Can you give me a pointer about where to look into it further??

Thanks Liam!

Default Not offended at all

It's a conundrum like you say.
