Default well, you got Englishtown for 1/4 mile racing

And for road racing, the closest tracks are Pocono and Lime Rock.

Default You can try a few different things . . .

Lime Rock just go to their website to see when they have open practice and what the car/driver requirements are. Lime Rock Park Schedule

PDA that is running on Sept 9 is supposed to be very good, FYI

You cna look into Pocono Int'l Raceway and also Summit Point. Pocono is less than 3 hours from NYC and Summit is 5 hours +/-.

Have you thought about an auto-x? Lots of those around, you can also try 1/4 mile at Englishtown in NJ.

Any other info you want?

Default I doubt it. besides, what is the difference if you are?

someone has to be slowest! The slowest car is not always the vehicle on the track. The driver has just as much to do with how fast you are. If someone has a Porsche or a Ferrari does not mean they will be fast around the track, it will only mean they will be fast down the straight.

Go and have a good time. You will find that by the end of the day you will be faster than people/cars that were faster than you at the beginning of the day.

Enjoy
