Default despises the NASCAR phrase, "We had a Top 20 car today"

I love the quote!
It's sad to see Champcar fall apart, I became a fan when I went to Long Beach in 1988....

Default I'm a staunch CARTisan, would like to see unification

even if it means FTG is still involved in (but not leading) the unified series. But, if they stay w/ mostly ovals (I srsly don't care much about Indy) and lose Long Beach, Cleveland, Road America, etc, I will lose interest anyway. hopefully there's a solution out there that satisfies my desires!

Default The proposal Tony George made was a pretty damn good one if you ask me. Keeping Long Beach, Toronto

Edmonton, Mexico City and Surfers Paradise on the schedule would have been excellent. Cleveland is a really good track for racing, but it draws on the same market as Mid Ohio and the turn out for the IRL-ALMS weekend last year was a hell of a lot better than the crowd at the airport in the last few years, from what I can tell.

Default Someone needs to commit Forsythe (and maybe Kevin) for not stepping up for this.

Open wheel will never stand a chance in the media here until those two morons get off their drugs or high horse and make the deal to unite. TG just gained a lot of respect from me for this offer. Maybe their baldness has left their brain exposed for too long to see the big picture.

Default Cleveland needs to stay. The standing starts helped the race. IMO, they need multiple chassis...

multiple engine manufacturers for this to be interesting. Too much is predictable.
