I know that audi installs the child safety latch hooks in the top shelf of the audi's back seats. If I found a way to connect my 4 point harness to those latches would that be kind of like using a harness bar that normally goes in the trunk. The 4 point harness straps in the back would go straight back shoulder level and connect to the latches on the top shelf of the rear seats. Seems like a cool idea to me.

The weight of a child in a seat is vastly different than adult weight.

the weight wouldn't hold if you were in a crash.. when in doubt ask a local SCCA club to tech it.
