So I got the Bell M4 Pro helmet...
But it is much snugger fitting than my old M2 Pro in the same size. Do they "loosen up", or should I just go up by an eight?

How snugly? Would you expect to get little headache after 20 minutes in it.
I will test it by watching TV tomorrow. I have 1/8" bigger one on it way - I will pick between the two.

That's a bit too tight
I can't imagine. In rallying you're wearing a helmet for like 12+ hours. If you got a headache after 20 minutes, it would be pure heck.

Go up a size, use a balaclava so the inside won't get 'funky' unless you like 'funky'. :+)
