Ganassi Racing is a big, headless monster...
He's trying to "compete" with Penske (as a whole), with only a fraction of the budget. he needs to cut the NASCRAP program loose and concentrate on the open-wheel and sports car programs.

Montoya should be his only NASCAR team, he was showing well until Chip woke up on
the wrong side of the bed and fired JP's crewchief. I suspect there are other issues going on. If JP doesn't pull off some wins on an oval soon, he may just hand the whole deal back to Felix, IMO. Then stick JP back in one of his open wheel cars.
