Ding! Let me know when they let 50+ guys try out :-)

yeah...16 to 26 with little to no real road racing experience
I actually know Liam Kenney (won the last 2 and took 2nd place this season) too and he probably has the most road racing experience out of everyone in the series...

On paper, it looks great and the racing was fun to watch. BUT, VW brought in, for the season,
their Touareg off-road drivers (yes, I know, stupid) to be the coaches of the drivers!
Lets see. VW has Pobst (who also won the original Rabbit Cup back in 1981), and they don't use him for this. Yes, I know I am biased, but I know many of the driver in the TDI Cup were like "WTF" as well.

Yep. Marketing people put the series together. Started taking offers in Aug of '08. Besides,
there was less carnage in the TDI Cup than there is at ANY KONI ST (or really GS) race.

Ummm, Steve? Did you read what I wrote? ; )

My point was, they brought in off-road racers as the coaches for the series. Yes, guys who don't roadrace were the official series coaches. Randy was not asked.
Randy was under a VW contract at the time, as well. The drivers didn't understand why they had off-road racers teaching them, neither did I, neither did Randy.
Randy never intended to race in the program, but was involved in it's development a bit in the beginning stages. He is not eligible for many reason outsides of age, the main one being he's been a professional racer racing in a pro series.
All I was saying was having off-road racers coach a roadrace series is not more appropriate than having Randy coach an off-road series.
