Default Are your wheels 19s or 20s?

Tirerack carries a few tires in 285/30/19 which would only be off by 1.1%.

They also carry 285/25/20 (2.7% bigger than stock) and 285/30/20 (1.6% smaller than stock).

Default 20s....

With 245/30/20 up front.... less than .1% difference in OD

285/25 would be .7% difference

285/30 would be 3.7%.....

I was told and suggested that 295 is the size to go, to achieve less than .1%......

The clear is already damaged so I will be having them painted, might as well get a quote to flare them a bit...

Default

What about Jeff's suggestion of machining the wheels a bit?

Default Dont really want to mess around with these wheels, as they sit flush...

Im not going to risk damaging wheels that cost this much!

2nd - They are GREAT at what they do but the wait time even to get your car in can be ridiculous.

Default It's worth talking to Mike @ Mike's Autobody in Malden. They do lots of body work for Turner

Motorsports, and I've always been happy with the work they've done for me. Mike is a very honest guy, so if he didn't want to do it - he would probably just say so.

Default My car sat there an entire week because they didn't call me.

Actually, it's because they didn't call me AND they ignored me the first four times I told them, "Don't bother with the insurance company. I can supply that part."

Oh, and the car came back with overspray.

Oh, and they skipped a step sanding so if you pop the hood, the fact that it has been repainted is horribly obvious.

I will be going somewhere else next time.

Default Really? It's possible that they've gotten so busy over the past few years that quality has suffered

a bit. I only used them one time right after I first got the S4 probably nearly 7 years ago at this point. I was very happy with their work then, but switched to Mike's Autobody because of good reviews and no ridiculous wait times. He has now fixed my car several times, and I would recommend Mike to any friend of mine without hesitation.
