I'm more concerned with the estimated speeding since I was only given a warning for the registration.
The officer tried to scare me with the threat of the registration ticket so I would admit to speeding.
In fact, he had no idea how fast I was going and could not have possibly paced me since I was stopped at the next traffic light by the time he pulled out of his side street. (I saw him pull out while I was stopped.)
Also, he accelerated quickly to catch up to me which would have negated his ability to pace.
Thanks for your responses...

Figure out the distance between stop lights (where this alleged incident happened)
Browse the MGL Chapt 90 sect 17 & 18.
See if the distance and the speed zone requirements were met by you.
If not, you can contest the ticket, with some certainty that you *may* be able to convince the judge (after the CM)that your not guilty as charged.
My "idea":
"or (3) inside a thickly settled or business district at a rate of speed exceeding thirty miles per hour for a distance of one-eighth of a mile, or"<ul><li><a href="http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/mgl/90-17.htm">MGL Chapter 90 section 17: speed limits</a></li></ul>
