Hello,
I have 95k and really need to do this belt replacement. I'd like to do it myself.
Rather than spending $300 on tools, I'm wondering if anyone could loan them to me?
Thank you.

I did the timing belt job Friday. 16 straight hours! Well, I stopped to shove a sandwich down my throat at one point. What a big project. I could do it much quicker the next time. Lots to learn. Lots of difficult bolts to get to.
Started right up. No issues. By the time I got home it was not idling correctly. Threw the VAG-COM on it this morning to find a cyclinder problem. Popped the cover off and sure enough, one of the ignition stacks had popped off. BAM! Back in business.
I was not pleased to discover I needed another rental tool for the timing seal. Somehow I missed that. So I skipped that. I'll have to poke Blau for letting me buy a TB kit + rental kit, a valve cover kit + *NO* rental kit!
