Anyone from Massachusetts know how to get green license plate?

haha sike!!!! i scoured the earth, and everytime i saw someone with a green plate in good condition, i would ask them if theyd do it ... and they would all be sketched out by me, even after i explained it was b/c i have a sporty car and the front plate ruins the look... realistically no one wants to go through all that hassle of reregistering etc.
i finally found a friend who had a green plate and was willing... i went to 2 RMVs to try to get the swap going but i got shot down everywhere

I was told you can't transfer it to anyone, family or otherwise, but that was from a clerk workign the counter at the Reading registry. She also told me you can only transfer it to a car that has been previously registered, meaning you can't transfer it to a brand new car. But I don't know about how true that one is.
If they ask you what kind of shape it's in, make sure you tell them it's fine or they can take it from you. There's some reference someplace on the RMV website that says it has to be in good condition or you are supposed to go turn it in.
