i find them for cheap, just bring a sim to test it out before buying. I also know some other places that deal in slightly used phones that get refurbed for resale or exportation. Name your carrier, I should have verizon, cingular, and tmobile phones. I think tmobile ones are sim style. Most are dual band, nothing special but good enough for USA (not international)

I really was just going to buy something temporary until the iphone or new Moto's come out...My v3i just died today.

Default I don't remember the name of the store but its at the corner of Kneeland & Tyler. Can't miss it,
