likely does not have too much $ to burn. And the fact is, dealerships usually charge a LOT more for the same or worse quality of work than you get from a good indy shop. So for this guy, I doubt the dealership makes much sense at at all, whereas it might for someone like your mom.

And someone driving around a new S class mercedes could very well owe the bank the entire value of the car..
All I'm saying is Inskip is a nice place to be and has a good reputation so regardless of your model Audi it isn't a bad choice even if you pay more.
Plus, it's nearby... it could easily outweigh the 'cost' of taking the time to drive somewhere else.

Club North America discounts. I think the important consideration is building a trusting relationship with whomever services your car, but to discount somebody because they're a "dealer" really is a bad decision. Discount somebody because they're incompetent, provide poor service, or are too expensive....make an informed decision.
The bulk of my work is more cost effective via the dealer using the ACNA discounts, but some work I ship to the independent because they can be less expensive.
Nobody wants to overpay, I don't care how deep your pockets are, just make an informed decision based on facts.

I've taken my car to just about every dealer in the area and have been disappointed by them all. With all the great indy shops around I'd much rather do that and skip the hassles. I have Rietzl not do an inspection on my car because I "removed the catalytic converter". I asked them if they knew what a catalytic converter even was.
