Default Boston Restaurant Ideas?

Hey guys,

I'm going to be coming up from NY to Boston for a weekend. I'm looking for a place to take a friend for her birthday.

I don't have any preferences on food, we don't drink so I'm looking to spend around $30-50 a head.
Maybe a somewhat romantic atmostphere, but nothing crazy. We are both in college still. I'll have my Audi up there so driving getting around boston wouldn't be an issue, but if you know fo a place that has convieniet parking that would be a plus.

Of course i'm going to search on citysearch.com etc, but local knowledge always seems the best!

thanks in advance,

Peter

Default Stella's is one of my favorites in Boston. Can't go wrong with the Capital Grill on Newbury either.

One word of caution if your Audi has Xenons. Not to scare you or anything but if you are bringing your Audi into Boston this town is notorious for its Xenon thieves. If you have Xenons make sure you park in a secure parking lot at night. Parking on the street equals begging for lights to get stolen.

Default Where are you staying? I'd head to the North End - Mamma Marias is a no-brainer

for a guaranteed romantic dinner, but may stretch your budget a bit. Others here will have their favorites as well.

Lots of great options in town and Boston's a great walking city - easier to park the car with the hotel and cab/T/walk rather than thinking about driving, parking more than once a day is very expensive. Happy to offer more suggestions based on areas ie: South End, North End, Back Bay, Cambridge, etc. if you know where you'll be.

Default You dont have to be in boston to have a really good meal.

Abe and Louies is pretty good, like someone already mentioned you have the capital grill on newbury but there is also another location in chesnut hill which is a little farther out on rte 9 in newton. Heres the problem RESERVATIONS. Between all the back bay restraunt groups establishments they are dam near impossible to get into on the weekends.

Find out what kind of food and ill give me more opinions recomendations

Default The girl goes to Brandeis, so i'll be coming for that direction

Whereever that maybe. I think she said SW of the city? Long drive?

I'm not sure about hotel yet, I stayed at the Marriott at Copley before and may look into that. She mentioned going around Prudential center area?

I'm thinking maybe something near the water , italian or seafood?

thanks for the ideas!

Default if you want Capital Grille you can also go to the one in Chestnut Hill, easy to

get to and parking is way better than in the city.<ul><li><a href="http://www.thecapitalgrille.com/Locations/ChestnutHill/Main.asp?Location=ChestnutHill&amp;rid=4">link to Capital Grille-Chestnut Hill</a></li></ul>
