Default Can anyone suggest a good shop for TB work

I was hoping that someone could recommend a good shop pref in boston area to get my TB service done. I checked with Clair and they want ~$1300. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Default Status Auto Service in Londonderry NH

exit 5 off 93. It's worth the drive up there in my opinion. Tony and Jeremy are great guys and will get you in and out quicker than any of the more local, reputable shops.

Default Just a thought..

Brian's gave me a whole spiel about the markup of their parts. I steered them to Audi parts online, but they weren't interested in trying out anyone outside of their current vendors.

I have heard good things about Status in NH, and locally, check out my Shine post. I found them to be straight forward, whereas other garages might be eccentric by comparison.

Make sure the shop is spot on.
$1300 is pretty pricy: parts are under $200, but it is labor intensive.

A shop which does them often will do it right.

If you're daring: (one goof and poof goes your motor) I have a link to some guys who did a few of them in a I-5 turbo group project. Special "Tools" rental a MUST.

I don't know what motor you have, but Brian's will do a 2.8 for $850

Default Thanks for the info, I have a 96 2.8 A6

$850 seems much more reasonable. How long did you have to leave yours there?

Default Thanks again for the 411

I am going to try and get it done before the holidays, budget and schedule permitting. I don't suppose they do loaners also?
