Default Cape Cod REcommendations? (going July 5-12)

YO! so i'm so psyched as me and the GF are going to stay in Eastham for the week in a cottage and bring the AR, bikes, all that beach crap and such, but I haven't been there in 15 years and assume a lot's changed...

any recommendations for food, local places etc> worth note?

going to wellfleet, eastham, chatham, rock harbor, a day in P-town etc.. always welcome to take food, day trip type recommendations.

I can't wait!

Default couple ideas...

eastham, Marconi beach ! ever have a beach to yourself? go right at the bottom of the wooden staircase and walk till you feel like your on a deserted island.

P-town, lots of er, ahem, colorfull places to see/do but we make it a habbit to spend a few hours at the Provincetown Inn pool. It's at the far end of town. Park at the rotary, and walk the cement walkway around to the pool. They have a really nice beach overooking the inner harbor with a great outdoor pool, complete with outdoor bar and grill ! <disclaimer> we usually are guests of the hotel but last time we were there we were told they allow "anyone" at the pool since it's good business.

Default great thanks...

yeah I kinda figured P-town is still very much the same but good to know. My GF will surely get a kick out of it.

Default Definitely catch some Cape Cod League baseball while you are here...

...all play with wooden bats, great college players (by invitation only), great quality baseball.

Also you can catch wall-e at the Wellfleet drive in through next week, starts at 8:40...might be a nice date-movie.

I am already here in Chatham on my 3rd day of a two week stay...I love this place...just wish I had a spare million lying around for that perfect summer place!

Default Chatham Bars Inn. Have some drinks on the patio - beautiful view/atmosphere. Their tavern is a

great place for lunch also. Then if you walk across the street to their beach, there's the Beach House Grill (part of/owned by the hotel) for some dining right on the beach.
