Default Commonwealth of Massachusetts: 0 - Asicks2.7T: 1

I finally went to court today for a speeding ticket I received over 2 years ago (long story as to why it took so long). $310 for 86 in a 55 on Rt 3.

And....the Trooper didn't show up!!

WOOHOO!! A reminder to never, ever, ever plead guilty to a speeding ticket and ALWAYS fight!

Default The actual trooper doesn't have to show, they send one trooper to represent all cases

If in your case they didn't send ANY cops to represent anything, then you lucked out my friend. It could've been a small court, or because it's an old ticket they didn't bother, but in MA the actual cop doesn't need to show up anymore that myth is long gone, they send one trooper to represent all cases in that particular district court.

Default Nice! I'm still waiting for my appeal date with the magistrate from a ticket back in Sept.

I thought it got lost so I contacted the RMV and they said it was processed already...but no word if the notice was sent out yet.

Default True for initial clerk/magistrate hearing but cop has to show up for judge hearing on appeal.

That's why you should always appeal.

Default Ya, stay on that.

I never received anything after i sent in my appeal, next thing you know, i was pulled over ( because while i was PARKED the officer was running plates and saw the person under the registration ,ME, had a suspended license.) so when he told me i has a suspended license, i go.. what??!! haha. they never got my appeal?? and my notice never got sent to me, but they have record that they sent it out, and thats all that matters to them. So luckily i got my car towed and i got dropped off at the dunkin donuts to get picked up and not arrested. Now i have 6 months probation without getting a moving violation or i'll get my license very suspended, haha. but i have less than 2 months to go, and i have been driving like a 96 year old woman than can barely see over the steering wheel.

I'm getting a V1 soon, lol

what was i talking about?? oh ya, keep in touch with the RMV, it's never their fault.

Default hahaha. Yeah, I'll give it another week or so, if I don't see anything, I'll call again.

The lady said it can take a few weeks to months to get a notice.
