Does anyone have any experience contesting parking tickets?

You're lucky that they didn't tow it! Last time I parked on the street and didn't know
it was street sweeping night, my loaner I had from the dealer got towed!
In the morning when I came out, needless to say I was freaking out because I thought the loaner had been stolen. Looking around to make sure I wasn't going crazy, I looked up and saw the sign about street sweeping earlier that morning. $110 to get it out of the tow lot and $40 parking ticket. That's one expensive loaner car!

Esp since the city just announced to crack down even more on street cleaning parking, last
week, they towed around 2000 cars I think it said in the article. They pretty much had tow truck after tow truck lined up in neighborhoods ready to take down cars.

they tow every car on my street...
I bought a wall calendar for the sole purpose of reminding myself of street cleaning days =)
