Default 3rd, ...clearence is the ONLY time I have ever gotten stuck,

And I am running basically summer tires right now. Hairy on the snowy days, because braking is a nightmare, but gripping and going forward isn't a problem. YRMV.

Default They do have a reputation for best-in-class (UHP A/S) winter traction.

So if you are going to do winter with A/S tires, those are certainly a good choice. Nonetheless, dedicated winter tires would be even better.

Default Tire Rack survey results agree with you that they're good in snow.

Dedicated winter tires would be even better tho.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&amp;tireModel=Pilot+Ex alto+A%2FS">http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&amp;tireModel=Pilot+Ex alto+A%2FS</a</li></ul>

Default Gotta luv the allroad in the snow!

I'm in Quincy, but work in Boston. With the big snow, I always end up taking the allroad.
