audi engineers/specs are great for the 90% of audi owners who are not on Audiworld and who are not enthusiasts.
anyone who says "OEM is best" wants a boring point A to point B type car. and not everyone wants that.

very least he's too strongly opinionated for my tastes. I'm not giving my $ to a guy who's going to give me sh*t for wanting to modify my car.

I've been going there since about 95 or 96. I find the attitude comical personally, but the work has never been anything but top notch.
I've heard lots of stories about him (or Stu) grumbling about the choices people make, but I don't recall hearing a story about him refusing to do work.

I was having a Stasis suspension put on my S4. Had to do a bit of car-juggling to get the car to Needham and then get back up to work in Wilmington, but I'd always heard good things about Brian's, and he'd quoted me a reasonable price (not cheap, but fair) over the phone. Said it should take 4 hours or so.
I dropped the car off, headed up to work, and never heard back from them during the day as they'd promised. I couldn't get a hold of anyone in the afternoon, so I drove back down to the shop after work and checked in.
Turned out they'd never even started the work, but hadn't had the decency to call me and tell me that during the day either. They said they realized it would be an 8 hour job "because they're crappy aftermarket coilovers" (STaSiS track sport!?) and would have to reschedule.
I rescheduled, but not with them -- instead, with Lee Malo (this was before he'd opened his shop, Advanced Technologies), paid half the hourly rate, got the job done in 4 hours while I watched and learned, and have never looked back.
To be fair, Brian wasn't in that day; it was Stu who (mis)-handled everything.

An 8 hr job @ book rates with 1 tech is rough. They usually make calls by the end of the day once all is completed.
They have a 3rd employee now who does the office management, so I'm sure calls get made now

he's the only fair and competent mechanic i have been able to find. I agree he has an attitude but i don't care if he fixes my car correctly. some of you keep mentioning alternatives but what are they?
