Default Called another Audi/Vw shop nearby , they estimated $900.00 give it or take it .
that sounds about right , right ?

Default Maybe that quote included a bag of whatever it is that Jim's smoking?
Apparently it's pretty good stuff if he can give you a $2k quote for a timing belt.

Default BTW, Carson, your review of the 3.0 has really screwed up my plans.
Was planning to update Robyn's 99 A6 to an 03 or 04 next Spring. Now it looks like I need to step up to C6 to avoid the 3.0. This might mean a delay in the purchase as I wait for the C6's to start coming off the 3 and 4 year leases.
...maybe I should tell Robyn that she needs to spend another year in the 99 per Carson's orders? lol

Default Not a surprise. Their labor rate has jumped to $100 per hour. Sis-in-law has jumped ship...

Called Clair Audi and they quoted me $1,800.00 and a loaner for 2 days.
