I hate having to take sick days
especially considering I dont actuyally have any until June 1st. So, in this case, Im guessing they just dock my pay for the day?
Beats walking around with a 101 fever and strep throat I guess. I just wish my student's parents wouuld keep him at home when he is sick. He has come in to school with a bucket because he is puking, with pinkeye and twice with strep throat in two months. wtf? I really want to ask his parents to suypplement my lost wages since he is the reason Im sick and he shold not have been in school.

It's the problem with employers (and schools) being too unforgiving about sick days
My company makes you use vacation time for your sick days (unlike my old company which had unlimited sick days, though you'd get nailed if you abused it and you needed a doctor's note if you were out 3+ days). The result is people don't want to use their vacation time so they come into work sick and make everyone else sick. It's stupid on upper management's part.
Ditto for schools that make it hard for students to make up work when they're sick.

if he is infectious its the the parents responsibility to keep him home its also
against every school system's protocol that i have been in to keep a student who is visibly ill and possibly contagious in the building
