the airport in San Juan PR (it was checked baggage, to this day I'm pissed that she put that jewelry in the suitcase) and we made the claim against our homeowners policy, got our money and never saw a penny of an increase. Of course, that's been our only claim on the insurance in over 20 years of coverage, so that probably gave us some leeway.

Because it's on older Accord, (kids car) they put the damage at $400 thinking I would take the $300 cash (minus $100 deductible) They called to confirm me that the check will be mailed out today. I said "no,I want to have the body shop look at it."
The body shop added another $300 to the quote becuase they didn't add time for removing bumpers, trim, tail lights, etc. He said that they tried to low ball me so you would take the cash and pass on fixing it.
I was going to be a nice guy and pass on the rental... not now!!!
good news is that there are no stikes against me for a comp claim.
